Florida Bay Islamorada Click images to enlarge The "Back Country" of the fabulous Florida Keys encompasses the Florida Bay portion of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary as well as the Everglades National Park. Near shore attractions for boaters include the Cowpens Cut and Tavernier Creek. You will see mangrove islands on the saltwater side of the Everglades National Park, as well as grass flats, and abundant bird life. Among the birds often sighted are pelicans, cormorants, ospreys, white herons, blue herons, woodpeckers, egrets, ibis, gulls, roseate spoonbills, kingfishers & more!
